The representatives of Leeds United ace Marc Roca have reopened talks with Real Betis over a potential transfer, according to the Express.
The midfielder, who joined the Whites last summer, could represent the first “high-profile” exit at Elland Road.
The Spaniard has made 36 appearances for the club, but could be heading to La Liga at the end of the season.
“Marc Roca could be the first high-profile summer departure at Leeds after Real Betis reopened talks with his representatives over a potential transfer as the Whites face the sickening prospect of relegation to the Championship this weekend,” according to the Express.
Summer exodus incoming
Regardless of whether Leeds secure Premier League safety or are demoted to the Championship, a mass exodus can be expected at Elland Road this summer.
Things just haven’t quite clicked for several key names at the club this season, and many of those players will not be satisfied with playing for a club struggling at the bottom end of the table.
Roca hasn’t been with the Whites for very long, but the midfielder will be dissatisfied with his current situation, particularly given how he moved to England from German giants Bayern Munich.
He will also have been disappointed to lose his place in the starting XI following the January arrival of fellow midfielder Weston McKennie.
The Spaniard will view this summer as a chance to kickstart his career, and that looks set to happen away from Elland Road.
If Roca does go, fans will begin to fear the worst, as he could be quickly followed out the exit door by a long list of players.
