English Championship outfit Millwall line up a new striker partnership in Lyndon Dykes and Kevin Nisbet which might’ve once rocked up at Rangers.

According to the latest reports, the Lions are lining up a £2m bid for QPR and Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes to bring him to the Den this summer.

This follows on from reports that Millwall have had a £1.2m bid accepted for routinely Rangers-linked Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet, who is entering the final year of his deal.

That means the Championship outfit could be about to sign a new £3.2m little-and-large strike force, but there was a time when both players might’ve wound up at Rangers.

Millwall bid for Rangers-linked Lyndon Dykes & Kevin Nisbet
Rangers have been routinely linked to Lyndon Dykes throughout his career and even this summer, before the links to Millwall, where the Ibrox club being mentioned.

Comments from Michael Beale claiming Rangers won’t be raiding the manager’s former club QPR appeared to rubbish the links, whilst Lyndon Dykes’ interest from Millwall further clashes with those Ibrox reports.

Rangers were also linked to Lyndon Dykes before the Aussie-born striker moved to QPR, with the big forward impressing during a Premiership stint at Livingston.

Kevin Nisbet is another who has been routinely linked to Rangers before this proposed switch to Millwall came to fruition, with some even recommending the striker as an option this summer.

Whilst there’s nothing official in those links, journalists have claimed that Rangers did try to sign Kevin Nisbet back in 2021 with Steven Gerrard clashing with Ibrox chiefs over a move for the Hibs forward.

According to reports, Rangers were also tailing Kevin Nisbet during his high-scoring spell with Dunfermline in the Scottish Championship.

But as things have transpired, it now seems both Lyndon Dykes and Kevin Nisbet could be Millwall-bound with Rangers’ attentions thoroughly elsewhere.
