AC MILAN OPEN TALKS WITH AZ ALKMAAR FOR TIJJANI REIJNDERS
AC Milan have opened official talks with AZ Alkmaar for Tijjani Reijnders, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Serie A side are said to have submitted an opening bid worth €19m for the 24-year-old midfielder. Talks will continue between the two clubs this week. Last month AZ reportedly rejected offers for Reijnders from Premier League clubs and Sporting Lisbon.
Reijnders featured 54 times last season as AZ finished fourth in the Eredivisie and reached the semi-final of the Europa Conference league. The centre midfielder was part of the squad that knocked Serie A side Lazio out of the Conference League in the round of 16. Reijnders scored eight goals and provided 11 assists last season.
AC Milan have just lost their star midfielder Sandro Tonali to Newcastle. The departure has left an open slot in the squad for Tijjani Reijnders. The Dutchman could be a brilliant signing for the Italian giants.

Serie A side Atalanta have shown a serious interest in signing Charles De Ketelaere from AC Milan but there is a reason why a deal could be tough, a report claims.
As has been reported by TMW (via Milan News), La Dea would like to give De Ketelaere a chance to impress in Serie A away from Milan.
The main hitch is that Milan have decided they do not want to lose control of the Belgian midfielder entirely but they are willing to tackle next season without him.
That means they must organise a loan deal in which there is an option for Atalanta to buy De Ketelaere but not an obligation.
It remains to be seen whether Atalanta would be willing to aid his development before seeing him go back to Milan, but other offers from Europe could soon arrive for De Ketelaere.
He joined Milan last summer from Club Brugge but had a poor first season in Italy.
