Burnley are closing in on finalising a deal to sign Troyes’ 18-year-old winger Wilson Odobert this summer, it has been claimed in France.
the Clarets have been aggressive in the transfer market since dominating the Championship and getting promoted to the Premier League since the end of last season.
Vincent Kompany has already brought in ten new faces to his Burnley squad and is pushing to bring in more reinforcements.
Burnley have been in talks with Troyes for the signature of their talented 18-year-old winger Odobert in the ongoing transfer window.
And according to French journalist Marc Mechenoua, the two clubs are in advanced negotiations to finalise the agreement for the winger’s move to England.
A final deal is still not in place but the two clubs are finalising the details of the agreement for the transfer.
Burnley are set to pay an initial fee of €12m and add-ons could take the fee to worth up to €20m.
Odobert has already given his approval to the move and will sign a five-year contract with Burnley once the deal is completed.
A product of the PSG academy, Odobert scored four times for Troyes in Ligue 1 last season.

Rejected New Contract Offer From the Blades
Norweigan journalist Arilas Ould-Saada confirmed that the midfielder has signed a 4-year deal stating that the final paperwork was completed this morning. The deal is reportedly worth £15 million with bonuses and the 25-year-old interestingly rejected a contract offer from the Blades.
It seems as though the Clarets wanted to complete the move quickly to incorporate the player in their first game of the Premier League season against treble-winning side Manchester City.
Vincent Kompany, the manager of Burnley, is bolstering an already smart transfer window with the addition of the Norwegian, a player who has been a shining light for the Blades since his arrival back in 2020. The “brilliant” became their record signing after completing his four-and-a-half-year move.
Watch: Last Word on Sports’ Predictions for the 2023/24 Premier League Season
The Lancashire-based side have already bought into the likes of England Euro hero James Trafford and Swiss talent Zeki Amdouni. The Belgian head coach has shown that his side are looking to cement themselves as Premier League mainstays going forward.
Blunted Blades
The South Yorkshire side already had an uphill task of securing Premier League safety next year, possessing one of the weaker squads in the division, however, things have got a whole lot worse as they now need to replace arguably their two best players with Ndiaye leaving for Marseille and now Berge to Burnley.
Surely now is the time for Paul Heckingbottom to dip into the transfer window with their current business being sparse.
