Wolves could be about to become embroiled in what could be a huge transfer merry-go-round this summer.

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is set to leave Old Trafford in the next few days.

He has a medical set ahead of a move to Selhurst Park to replace the want-away Vicente Guaita.

This could spark a huge shift in the leagues goalkeepers, with Wolves at the centre.

Wolves are implemented with Jose Sa said to be a target for Nottingham Forest after they missed out on Henderson.

That is only the beginning of Wolves’ part to play here with a potential new keeper wanted at Molineux.

Wolves target Sam Johnstone

According to The Sun, Wolves are on ‘red alert’ for a move to sign Palace’s current shot stopper.

Johnstone is known to be liked by new Wolves keeper coach Neil Cutler which could open the door for a move.

Palace aren’t believed to be keen on losing Johnstone, however after landing Henderson they could be willing to do a deal.

If Forest make a move for Sa, especially following his brilliant performance against Everton, Johnstone could be quickly on his way to Molineux.

Is Johnstone worth buying?

Alan Shearer suggests Sam Johnstone should have received red card against Wolves

Johnstone is as seasoned and experienced as they come in English football and has even made three appearances for England.

His former boss, Sam Allardyce even went as far to describe Johnstone as “one of the best.”

He would represent a steady if not super replacement should Sa end up departing the club this late in the window.

But this right now is just based on links, but it could see multiple Premier League clubs with new keepers this time next week.

An interesting week ahead for all involved.

Sean Dyche suggests Wolves man of the match after Everton drama

Everton boss Sean Dyche said his team have to be more ruthless in front of goal after they were beaten 1-0 by Wolves at Goodison Park.

Sasa Kalajdzic’s 87th-minute goal gave Wolves their first win of the season and left Everton pointless from their three games after an absorbing contest. James Tarkowski should have put the hosts in front as they had the better of the first half before both sides had chances after the break.

Fabio Silva had a goal ruled out for offside and also missed an excellent chance for Wolves but Abdoulaye Doucoure had a second half goal chalked off for a marginal offside and Wolves were grateful to Jose Sa for three excellent saves, the pick of which denied Doucoure’s back post header with the scores still goalless.

Everton had been punished for failing to take chances in a 1-0 opening day defeat to Fulham before they were thumped 4-0 at Aston Villa last week. Reflecting on the defeat to Wolves, Dyche said: “It is very frustrating, probably as bad as Fulham in the sense of creating chances but, not just chances, high quality chances.

“A generally good performance, certainly a big reaction from the Villa game – and we don’t score a goal. At the end of the day it is our responsibility to score goals. It is not just… everyone talks about strikers and of course that is a big part of their role. But the team, we are creating chances and we can’t quite find that goal.

“Once again, arguably, their keeper (Sa) is man of the match. But we shouldn’t be making their keepers man of the match, we should be putting the chances in and then no one talks about their keepers. So, strangely a reverse positive in some ways, but it is not a positive when you don’t win a game.”
