Luton Town complete the signing of Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga on a season-long loan after Burnley move broke down last month
Arsenal’s Albert Sambi Lokonga has joined Luton Town on a season-long loan.
The midfielder was initially linked with Burnley last month, but the deal was complicated and fell through.
Luton’s interest came as a surprise earlier today, with the move completed in the recent minutes.
Lokonga spent the second half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace and and made nine appearances.
He joined Arsenal from Anderlecht in 2021, and has made 39 appearance for the north London outfit, without contributing a single goal or assist.

Lokonga has played 39 times for Arsenal but has been unable to really establish himself in the side.
The 23-year-old will now hope that he will be able to feature prominently for Luton, having struggled to break into the first-team at the Gunners.
Luton have started their Premier League campaign with two defeats, and take on West Ham at Kenilworth Road on Friday night.
