Glen Kamara has detailed his ambitions for the upcoming season after sealing his move to Leeds United.

Kamara was speaking to LUTV immediately after his £5 million move from Rangers was confirmed, in what has been the longest running saga of the summer.

The 27-year-old became Leeds’ eighth signing of the window and second of Thursday, following Ilia Gruev’s arrival from Werder Bremen just a matter of hours earlier.

Ethan Ampadu, Karl Darlow, Sam Byram, Joe Rodon, Joel Piroe and Djed Spence have all also made the move to Elland Road, in what has been a highly successful summer, on the whole.

Kamara is a name that has been linked with Leeds throughout the summer but only in recent days have the Whites decided to push the button on bringing him in.

When asked what his ambitions are for the upcoming season, Kamara’s answer was short but determined after putting pen-to-paper on a four-year-deal.

He said: “[Get] back to the Premier League.”

It is clear that each and every one of Leeds’ signings this summer have come with the intention of getting to the Premier League with the club.

Kamara has experienced some top European nights during his time at Rangers, playing in the Champions League group stages, as well as reaching a Europa League final.

Had it not been for a difficult last 12 months at Rangers, the next logical step for him would’ve been the Premier League but he clearly feels Leeds are the best club to help re-find his form and get a chance in England’s top-flight.
