According to the Telegraph, he is set to fly out to Turkey to complete the loan move following a seven-month stint at the City Ground. Shelvey was left out of Steve Cooper’s 25-man squad and has not featured for the Reds since April.

It is claimed the midfielder also had offers from England, with Burnley, Sheffield United and Leeds United all showing an interest during the transfer window. But he is set for a fresh start in the Super Lig.

The transfer window in Turkey is set to close on Friday night. Elsewhere, Emmanuel Dennis, who has also been left out of the 25-man squad, is attracting interest from that league.

Shelvey, Dennis, Horvath and Biancone have all been left out of Forest’s 25-man Premier League squad.

Forest signed a total of 13 players during the summer including seven on deadline day.
