Man Utd predicted lineup vs Brighton – Premier League
- Manager Erik ten Hag facing a number of selection problems
- Injuries mean under-fire Harry Maguire could partner Victor Lindelof in defence
- Club issues with Antony and Jadon Sancho open up a starting spot in attack
-
There’s a lot to consider when it comes to choosing a Manchester United lineup right now, far beyond what any coach would normally need to ponder when selecting an XI.
With Antony not returning from Brazil duty due to the assault allegations against him and Jadon Sancho publicly falling out with Erik ten Hag after the Arsenal defeat, things are not calm at Old Trafford.
-
On top of all of that, there are a lot of injuries to important players at Man Utd. A number of players could return to face Brighton on Saturday, but there are a lot of question marks.
Here is the team Ten Hag could choose to secure victory for Man Utd over Brighton.

Manchester United predicted lineup vs Arsenal (4-2-3-1)
-
GK: Andre Onana – There is also drama with Onana as he is set to start playing for Cameroon again, something Ten Hag and Man Utd were not expecting. There is no suggestion he’ll miss out here, however.
RB: Aaron Wan-Bisakka – With left-back becoming a problem position, the versatility of Diogo Dalot means Wan-Bisakka is not facing any stiff competition right now.
CB: Victor Lindelof – With Raphael Varane out injured, Lindelof is expected to come in. He may not be Varane but remains a very solid player United deemed worth keeping around in the summer.
-
-
CB: Harry Maguire – There is an outside chance Lisandro Martinez will recover in time, but if not, it’ll have to be Harry Maguire at centre-back. After a very tough international break, a solid performance over 90 minutes would do him the world of good.
LB: Diogo Dalot – With Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia out, Ten Hag may want to introduce Sergio Reguillon from the bench before he starts a game. That leaves only Dalot who can play in this role.
CM: Casemiro – He has not enjoyed the best start to the season, making the Brazilian another player who could do with a solid display.
CM: Christian Eriksen – There is a chance Mason Mount is fit enough to return while Sofyan Amrabat may also make the bench, but Eriksen should hold onto his spot here.
-
-
RW: Alejandro Garnacho – With Antony out, Sancho presumably not involved and Amad Diallo injured, Garnacho will likely be asked to perform on the right wing. His main competition is Facundo Pellistri.
AM: Bruno Fernandes – The one constant for Man Utd, Fernandes is seemingly incapable of getting injured and will be leading the way against Brighton.
LW: Marcus Rashford – Man Utd do have reason to be excited for this game as Rashford should get to play on the left, which is certainly his best position.
ST: Rasmus Hojlund – That’s because Hojlund could make his full debut as a starter. He came on against Arsenal and immediately improved the team.

Blackpool’s player ratings on the newest iteration of EA Sports’ game have been leaked, with some interesting scores dished out to the Tangerines squad.
Blackpool’s EA Sports FC 24 player ratings have been leaked, and there’s a few decisions that will raise a few eyebrows amongst the fanbase.
EA FC 24, or its full name EA Football Club 24, is due for release on Friday, September 29, and the official home and away kits will feature, but there will be no Bloomfield Road.
Player ratings are quite a discussion point amongst supporters, whilst some professional footballers are said to take their player ratings quite seriously. Ratings are usually based off of what the player has done in their previous year, and statistics are usually collated by someone who is either a Blackpool fan or has nominated themselves to be a data researcher for EA.
Blackpool’s squad is quite different from the one that started with Michael Appleton on EA FIFA 23, with several players departing, and other coming in. Brighton’s Jensen Weir was seen as a really good signing and after his performances for Morecambe last year his rating has gone up, whilst Jordan Rhodes who signed from Huddersfield Town has stayed the same. Some players have seen a rating decrease following relegation from the Championship and there are in fact no players that are rated over 70.
Below are all the players that are registered with the current Tangerines first-team, and their specific ratings. The article begins with the lowest rated and finishing with those who are ranked the best.
*Note that the official ratings are yet to be confirmed, and will be published by EA Sports when the EA FC 24 companion app for Ultimate Team launches later this month. Ratings are provided by the FUTScores Database, and are not 100% confirmed, and could be subject to change.
Some players are missing such as Will Squires, Matto Spinelli, Jake Daniels and Tayt Trusty.
