Kyogo shares Celtic shoulder injury update as Feyenoord Champions League test addressed
The Japanese striker received treatment on his shoulder vs Dundee on Saturday
eltic star Kyogo has calmed fears about the shoulder problem he encountered against Dundee at the weekend.
The striker scored a brilliant header to make it 2-0 at Parkhead, with goals from David Turnbull and Matt O’Riley either side of his strike. But during the first half, he disappeared down the tunnel with yet another shoulder complaint, a perennial issue for the 26-year-old Hoops forward.
But medics, according to The Scottish Sun, were able to pop his shoulder back into place after feeling the discomfort and he was able to come back onto the field of play and help Celtic secure a home win in the Premiership after returning from the international break. And Kyogo says he is raring to go against Feyenoord in the Champions League this Tuesday, revealing that his shoulder is in now in tip top condition. He said: “There is no problem, not at all. Nothing to worry about.”
Addressing the trip to the Netherlands, he said: “The first target has to be to get the win against Feyenoord on Tuesday. That is all we are thinking about right now because that will make our supporters happy.
“After that we will see. It would be brilliant if we could progress through the group stages.”
