Celtic hero Scott Brown linked with Championship job
Celtic hero Scott Brown has been linked with a return to management at Inverness.
The former Parkhead captain was relieved of his duties by Fleetwood Town earlier this month.
Brown’s exit came just two months after penning a new deal at the club with chiefs making the decision after a horror run of results.
Now, BBC reporter Iain Auld has suggested Brown could be in the running for the Highlands hotseat – but conceded it could just be a coincidence.
On BBC Sportsound, Auld explained that Brown had been in Inverness during the week but it’s unknown if it is connected to the club’s recruitment search.
He said: “You mention about names, I’ve head a few in the build up to this one.
“I’m led to believe there was a board meeting which took place before kick off and the board of directors are keen to make a quick appointment.
“Darren O’Dea is still the one that I think is top of the list here at Caley Thistle but interestingly Scott Brown has been in Inverness this week.
“I don’t know if he has been up visiting or if he has been in contention.”
It’s understood Inverness Caledonian Thistle chiefs have pinpointed Celtic B team coach O’Dea as their number one target to succeed Billy Dodds.
However, it’s expected Celtic will do all they can to keep the coach who is set to travel north for talks on the job.
