No soccer club is as connected to its fan community as Wrexham in the current age. Everyone, from fans to owners and players, is in the same boat and it’s no wonder they have been successful in recent times. The club got promoted to the EFL League Two after 15 years, ending their barren spell in the higher leagues. The entire family bonding vibes helped the club progress and valued each staff member very well. But the soccer club has now lost a dear member who served them for years.

The director led the fans to own the club after their financial struggles and kept the ship afloat after their intervention. Thus, fans showed their respect for one architect of Wrexham who helped the club to endure challenging times.

Fans in mourning as former Wrexham Supporter’s Trust director passes away

Former Wrexham Supporter’s Trust director, Mark Jones, passed away, leaving fans saddened. Jones leaves behind his wife and two daughters, and the reason for his death has not been clarified yet. Tributes poured in as it shocked the Welsh team’s fandom to hear the news.

One fan stated, “Devastating news. RIP Mark. Top man.” And another commented, “Terrible news. Lost another good one here. Someone who lived and breathed #WxmAFC. RIP Mark. Thoughts to his friends and family. X.” Thus, it became a disappointing moment for the club ahead of the new season, and will forever be indebted to his valuable contributions.

The club’s official page tweeted their tributes to the former top man. The page tweeted, “The thoughts of all at the Football Club are with Mark’s friends and family.” 

Another colleague loved his work ethic and gave a fitting tribute to the top man on Twitter. She stated, “I am so sad to be reading this news. Mark was a pleasure to work with and a genuinely nice man. A true fan with the club’s best interests at heart. RIP Mark.”

One fan commented on how he approached things positively in life and would certainly miss his presence at the club. The fan stated, “Gutted to hear this news, worked a lot with Mark on the trust, he was such a nice bloke. Always had a positive outlook. RIP mate, love to his family.”
