Tottenham has eight Luton doubts with injuries, including Manor Solomon, and Johnson is hopeful.

Exploring Manor Solomon & how he fits at Tottenham

Tottenham injury news: Another forward will miss Tottenham’s forthcoming games, including Saturday’s trip to newly promoted Luton Town.

Tottenham’s injury list has been causing Ange Postecoglou problems this month, with Manor Solomon suffering an injury before of this weekend’s trip to Luton Town.

Solomon joined the north Londoners as a free agent in the summer after playing for Fulham the previous season. A series of impressive cameos off the bench have made him a popular option for Postecoglou, so his absence is a major setback.

On Tuesday, the attacker sustained a strange knee injury during a routine training session at Hotspur Way, and he was scheduled to have meniscus surgery on Thursday. Football.london believes that it is not the same knee Solomon damaged last season while at Fulham, but he will be out for a while as he recovers.

In addition to Solomon, the Spurs are missing Ivan Perisic and Brennan Johnson. Perisic suffered a catastrophic knee injury in training last month, putting him out for the rest of the season, according to the club.

“Obviously, it’s disappointing and a massive blow to him,” Postecoglou said. “He has been one of the guys that you realize why they have had such a fantastic career and why they have had the longevity in terms of his ability to perform at the highest level and for the biggest clubs since I have come in.” It’s just one of those bad situations, a strange thing in training.

“It’s disappointing for him, and it’s disappointing for us because he’s had a great start to the season.” He provides us that experience that we don’t have a lot of, and you can see it in the big games, the big moments – he’s been in almost all of them. So it’s was also disappointing for us.”

Johnson’s hamstring issue, thankfully, isn’t significant. According to football.london, it was viewed in the aftermath of Arsenal’s North London Derby as a tight hamstring.

The Wales international was unavailable for last week’s controversial triumph over Liverpool, but there is hope that he will be available for the trip to Kenilworth Road.

Giovani Lo Celso, meanwhile, might return to the matchday squad. The Argentine left the Carabao Cup defeat at Fulham last month with a quad injury, although Postecoglou hinted at a possible return date.

“[Giovani Lo Celso] is unavailable for this weekend’s match against Arsenal.” He trained with us yesterday, but we’ll wait another week.”

Rodrigo Bentancur has been out since February after tearing his ACL against Leicester City. He has, however, returned to some training. Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon, and Alfie Whiteman are still out.
