According to Fabrizio Romano’s last report, there is a continuing campaign to promote the player.
Fabrizio Romano has written a glowing assessment of former Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong’s current situation. The Dutch defender just signed a new long-term contract with Bayer Leverkusen, which the Italian journalist quickly announced as an Exclusive.
Romano announced Frimpong’s inclusion in Ronald Koeman’s squad for the Dutch National Team with a post on Twitter/X.
Leverkusen’s hierarchy, as well as Xabi Alonso, consider the player highly and see him as a valuable asset for a multi-million dollar sale in the future. Celtic have a sell-on clause, which might be beneficial for the Paradise side in the future.
Romano has been known to promote players he believes will be the subject of future transfer interest. According to social media, several players and agents are contacting Romano in an attempt to generate interest in their player. Frimpong has the potential to be one of the next generation of big players to break through and earn exorbitant fees.
After an excellent 18-month stint with Celtic, the young fullback joined Leverkusen in January 2021. Frimpong, who turned 22 in December, will be gaining attention this summer as he seeks a new opportunity in his brief career.
The transfer has benefited both Celtic and the player, as he has been able to progress after struggling to find a path under Neil Lennon in 2020/21. He is now garnering attention with powerful running down the right side.
