Nottingham Forest face competition from Premier League clubs for the £17 million-rated talent.

Nottingham Forest appear to be far from alone in their pursuit of Stuttgart’s 27-year-old striker Serhou Guirassy.

According to 90 minutes, Forest are still interested in signing the Guinea international, as are Brentford and West Ham.

Guirassy has already scored 13 league goals this season, including two hat-tricks against Mainz and Wolfsburg, propelling Stuttgart to second place in the Bundesliga after seven games.

The 27-year-old only joined Stuttgart on a permanent basis this summer after an impressive loan spell the previous season, but his new contract includes a €20 million release clause, which is an absolute steal.

Multiple clubs interested in Guirassy.

Forest have three strong forward options in Taiwo Awoniyi, Chris Wood after his loan agreement was extended this summer, and Divock Origi, who joined the club on loan during the summer transfer window.

Despite this, Guirassy would be a fantastic signing who has definitely proven excellent goalscoring potential this season.

The uncompromising striker had a really successful season last year. Despite a difficult season for Stuttgart, which kept them in the Bundesliga via the relegation play-offs, he scored 14 goals.

However, he’s taken his talents to the next level this season, with the 27-year-old only one goal shy of his tally from last season after only seven appearances.

Guirassy is open to a move to the Premier League.

In an interview with Bild at the end of September, the in-form striker refused to rule out a move to England’s top division in the future.

“We [Stuttgart] have a great team, a great coach, and fantastic fans.” In Stuttgart, we feel really at ease as a family. That is why I chose to remain at VfB.

“This isn’t quite a dream. But, if the opportunity to play in the Premier League exists, why not take it? But I don’t dream about it every day.”
