This Fabrizio Romano’s latest update could be great news for Nottingham Forest.
Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on the future of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
The 23-year-old hasn’t played for the club since his 30-minute cameo against Forest after he hit out at boss Erik ten Hag.
In a statement on his social media, Sancho claimed that he was the ‘scapegoat‘ at the club – a comment which saw him banished from the first team.
Journalist Romano has now confirmed that a January exit for the winger is very likely, with Steve Cooper’s side a rumoured destination.
Romano’s update could be good news for Forest
Although Sancho may look to leave Old Trafford in January, the Reds may not be able to afford the fee United could demand.
A loan move could be an option, however, Forest already have two Premier League loanees in Chelsea’s Andrey Santos and Nuno Tavares, meaning one would have to return to their parent club.
Chelsea are said to be unhappy with Santos’ game time at the City Ground, with the 19-year-old only starting once since his arrival on loan.
Given Sancho’s relationship with current Reds boss Cooper, a move in January may be unlikely – but can’t be ruled out.
An expensive deal for Sancho
A troubled United played heading to the City Ground isn’t unheard of, with Jesse Lingard also making the move last summer.
It has to be said, that a deal for Sancho would be extremely unlikely, but assuming he doesn’t makeup with United boss ten Hag he could prove to be a sensational option should Forest wish to pursue the 23-year-old.
