An SEC school has named a former Ohio State football quarterback as its offensive coordinator.
There is life after football, as we all know, and it is always amazing to see former Ohio State football players succeed in their post-career endeavors. In light of this, former Ohio State quarterback Kenny Guiton is keeping moving up the college coaching ladder.
On Sunday, the Arkansas Razorbacks announced the promotion of wide receiver coach Kenny Guiton and the dismissal of offensive coordinator Dan Enos. Guiton, who has been Arkansas’s receivers coach since 2021, will take over as the team’s new offensive play caller.
The majority of Buckeye supporters will recall Guiton from his time as a student, when he wore the Scarlet and Gray from 2009 to 2013. Despite not being Ohio State’s regular starter, he was essential in taking Braxton Miller’s place when he was hurt.
Before starting his coaching career in 2015, Guiton had a cup of coffee with the Buffalo Bills in the NFL and briefly started for the L.A. Kiss in the Arena Football League. From 2015 to 2018, Guiton worked under Tom Herman at Houston as a graduate assistant and receivers coach. Before joining Arkansas in the SEC, he made two stops at Colorado State and Louisiana Tech in the same role.
