Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh says he’ll get a tattoo if the Michigan Wolverines go 15-0 this season, plus more in our news roundup. 

It was a wild news day for the Michigan Wolverines on Monday as it was reported by Pete Thamel ofNCAA’that Connor Stalions, a Michigan football analyst, who is currently suspended with pay, purchased tickets at 11 other Big Ten Stadiums over the past three seasons.

Thamel’s report claims that Stalions bought tickets for others to go to games. On the surface, it doesn’t look great, but there’s a lot of gray area with the in-person scouting rules.

It also just seems like one over-zealous dude and by all accounts Stalions is a Michigan football superfan who bought a house in Ann Arbor and rented out each room, while he slept in his car, in order to volunteer for the program.

Stalions was hired as an analyst by Michigan football in May of 2022. So much of this happened before he was even an employee. There will be some punishments but it’s not as big a deal (in my opinion) as the national media is making it out to be.

I don’t see Michigan football ever having to vacate wins over something that the NCAA’s own working group said didn’t provide a significant advantage. If the NCAA tries a major punishment, Michigan needs to go to court, it’s as simple as that.

Jim Harbaugh pledges to get a tattoo if Michigan football goes 15-0

Speaking on “Inside Michigan Football” Jim Harbaugh said that if the Michigan Wolverines are able to go 15-0 and win the national championship, he’ll get his first tattoo.

“Yeah, I’d consider. If we go undefeated, I’m going to get a 15-0 tattoo,” Harbaugh said via On3. “Probably on the shoulder, and a block ‘M’ over it. “I haven’t configured the art yet, but if that happens, I will do it.”

That’s an extra layer of motivation for the Michigan Wolverines, although judging by their beat down of Michigan State last Saturday, it might not be needed.

J.J. McCarthy: “I care about championships”

Michigan football quarterback J.J. McCarthy was asked about his Heisman hopes since he’s become the betting favorite to win the award. His response was classic J.J. McCarthy.

“I don’t care about trophies, I care about championships.”

McCarthy was also asked about the next season and he said, “God knows. I don’t know right now. I’m just so focused on the present moment, that never really comes to my head.”

All I know is that J.J. McCarthy is the best quarterback in college football and I’m going to enjoy every single moment of him as Michigan football.
