The transition from the National League to League Two appears to have gone smoothly for Macauley Langstaff.

After 38 minutes, Scott Malone of Gillingham cancelled out Langstaff’s goal, and Lewis Macari of the opposition scored the game’s winning goal.

After this victory, County holds onto second place and continues to trail Stockport County, while Gillingham, the previous league leaders, keeps slipping down the standings and is currently in ninth place.

With nine goals to his name in League Two, Langstaff is still having success under Luke Williams’ guidance.

Notts County should maintain its position if interest from teams like Ipswich Town and Plymouth Argyle resurfaces in January. The club had to fend off such interest in the summer.

Ipswich Town and Plymouth Argyle are showing interest.
Ipswich Town and Plymouth Argyle were promoted to the Championship after placing first and second in League One, respectively, the previous season.

With 14 goals in the second division so far from Conor Chaplin, Nathan Broadhead, and Freddie Ladapo, Ipswich is clearly acclimating to life back at that level.

According to FootballLeagueWorld, Kieran McKenna’s team was one of three interested parties in Notts County forward Macauley Langstaff during the summer.

Wrexham and Plymouth Argyle joined them in this pursuit, but he stayed put at Meadow Lane and is now paying for his choice.

Ipswich won’t necessarily need more help in the attacking third come January, as Chaplin and company’s objectives imply, but Argyle might show some new interest.

Ryan Hardie, who leads the team with five Championship goals, has failed to score in his last six games for the Argyle, who are currently in 21st place.

Down in Devon, the belief in the Scotsman endures, but it is still unclear if Mustapha Bundu and Ben Waine can step in and contribute with their own objectives.

What is Langstaff’s Notts County performance like?
As before, Macauley Langstaff is tied for second in the scoring charts with nine goals in League Two.

At his side, on the verge of breaking the ten-figure mark were Louie Barry, Isaac Olaofe of Stockport County, Matt Smith of Salford City, and Jake Young of Swindon Town.

Langstaff is not the only one who has scored goals; former Arsenal player Dan Crowley and comeback hero David McGoldrick have each scored six goals and provided three assists.

The 26-year-old is no stranger to being the focal point of the attack thanks to his incredible 41 goals in 45 National League games, which of course earned him the Golden Boot.

When you include his six assists, he contributed more than just one goal per game.

Although it’s obvious where Langstaff’s interest is coming from, Notts County should make every effort to hold onto him.

In addition to calling the choice to sign his most recent contract with the team a “no-brainer,” Langstaff also told BBC East Midlands the following. “A lot of people asked why I signed a new contract with the rumors going around, and there was a lot of talk and speculation, but it was just a case of being happy off the pitch, and I’m so happy here.”

Notts County and Macauley Langstaff appear to be a match made in heaven, and the team hopes that this trend continues for many more years.

Opinion: Ipswich Town should be extremely cautious as Daniel Farke manages a welcomed headache for Leeds United.

Daniel Farke’s headache at Leeds is discussed by FLW, along with how it could help Ipswich Town.

The Tractor Boys have so far shown themselves to be quite at home in the second division after winning promotion from League One to the Championship.

They have been among the division’s best teams after 11 games, and with the league getting ready for winter, Kieran McKenna’s team would have had a chance to top the standings with a win over Rotherham United on Friday night if their game against the Millers hadn’t been postponed.

The Tractor Boys were eight points ahead of Preston North End in third place and two points behind leaders Leicester City going into the October international break.

The Tractor Boys have appeared quite at home in the second division thus far after being promoted from League One to the Championship.

As the league gets ready for winter, Kieran McKenna’s team would have had the chance to top the standings with a win over Rotherham United on Friday night had their game against the Millers not been postponed. In fact, after 11 games, they have been among the division’s best teams.

The Tractor Boys were eight points clear of Preston North End in third place and trailed Leicester City by two points at the end of the October international break.

Whether Kieran McKenna’s team is able to hold such a high standing in the

Leeds United does have a lot of attacking talent on their roster despite recently being demoted from the Premier League, which is great for Daniel Farke but maybe not for all of his players.

In fact, with so many players fighting for playing time, the Leeds manager must carefully balance his attacking options, which inevitably means that some players won’t get them.

For Joe Gelhardt this season, that has been the situation thus far.

Leeds United’s Top 10 Highest Earners by Week (Ranked)

There are forwards ahead of Gelhardt in the Leeds hierarchy, including Patrick Bamford, Georginio Rutter, and summer acquisition Joel Piroe, who cost a lot of money.

Ipswich Town ought to think about seizing the opportunity presented by Leeds United.

But this is where Ipswich Town can make a move.

In fact, Gelhardt was linked to the Tractor Boys late in the summer, and if his circumstances didn’t change by January, Leeds’ position on keeping him would undoubtedly sag.

TEAMtalk reports that Ipswich was one of four teams to inquire late in the transfer window about moving Gelhardt on loan. However, Leeds rejected that interest because Gelhardt was believed to be a component of Farke’s plans, according to their report.

Nevertheless, it is evident that thus far, Gelhardt has remained largely outside of Farke’s intentions.

But here’s where Ipswich Town can make an impression.

In fact, the Tractor Boys were linked to a move for Gelhardt towards the end of the summer. If his circumstances didn’t change by January, Leeds would undoubtedly be less inclined to let him go.

Ipswich was one of four teams to inquire late in the transfer window about moving Gelhardt on loan, according to TEAMtalk. But Leeds turned down that offer, the report said, because Gelhardt was considered an integral part of Farke’s plans.

Thus far, however, that has obviously not been the case, with Gelhardt remaining firmly on the periphery of Farke’s intentions.

After playing on loan at Wigan earlier in his career and at Sunderland last season, Gelhardt has regular football experience.

This is where Ipswich can make an impact, as McKenna is obviously interested in the player and will probably give him lots of playing time.

The fact that Leeds and Ipswich, if both continue on their current paths, may be promotion rivals in January—in which case, neither team would want to bolster the other—may be the largest barrier in all of this.

Rangers lay out their demands financially while Birmingham City contemplates moving for a key player.

Rangers are rumored to have set a price for Jack Butland, a target for Birmingham City.

Birmingham wants Jack Butland badly.
After taking over the club for several months, Tom Wagner and his American team have made significant changes at St. Andrew’s, and they have high hopes for Blues.

During this month’s international break, they controversially decided to fire John Eustace in favor of Wayne Rooney, and it is anticipated that he will receive strong support during the January transfer window.

As a result, speculation has already begun, with Rooney allegedly wanting to sign Butland, his former England teammate, to the Blues.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper only recently signed with Rangers in the summer, but he has flourished and become an important player at Ibrox despite the Glasgow team’s difficult start to the season.

Rangers announce Jack Butland’s price tag.
In light of this, it should come as no surprise that reports suggest the Rangers do not want to lose Butland, who has a contract that expires in the summer of 2027.

However, every player undoubtedly has a price, and according to Football Insider, Rangers would need to pay at least £5 million to make a deal.

Birmingham City is interested in goalkeeper Jack Butland, who the Rangers currently privately value at over £5 million. He is valued at more than £5 million by the Gers, and if his current form holds, that amount could only go up.

Would Birmingham City buy Jack Butland for £5 million?
Given that Butland is only 30 years old and still has a lot of football left in him—especially considering he is a keeper—that price tag doesn’t seem excessive to him.

Furthermore, he would be exceptional by Championship standards, so you could argue that the Blues would be wise to make the investment.

However, there are a lot of other excellent goalkeepers available in that range, so Birmingham should search far and wide for the best choice if the funds are available.

Rangers would be hesitant to let go of Butland as they look to challenge Celtic in the league and go to Europe, but it would be a wise business move if they were able to fetch more than £5 million for a player they signed in the summer on a free transfer.

For Birmingham City, what comes next?

nd in January, we are aware that this won’t be a case of simply throwing cash at the project.

Would Jack Butland cost £5 million to Birmingham City?
As a keeper, Butland is only thirty, so he still has a lot of football left in him, so that price tag doesn’t seem completely out of line.

You could argue that the Blues would be wise to invest in him because he would be an exceptional player by Championship standards.

However, if the funds are available, Birmingham should search all over the world for the best goalkeeper because there are many other excellent goalkeepers in that price range.

While we anticipate spending by Blues in January, we also know that it won’t be a case of simply throwing cash at the project.

For Birmingham City, what comes next?

Rooney won’t be thinking about transfers right now because there are a lot of games to be played in the interim and the window won’t open for another nine weeks or so.

As a result, the manager will be focused on helping the players he is working with improve in order to get points on the board. The areas they need to strengthen in the upcoming year will then become more apparent.

Birmingham’s next game is against Hull City at home later in the week, but Rooney lost his first match in charge of the team on Saturday against Middlesbrough.

Hull vs. Birmingham City: The expected starting lineup for Birmingham City

In an unexpected move, the Blues chose to start Rooney in place of John Eustace, even though he had a fantastic season thus far.

That being said, Rooney is aware that winning the opening game is far from ideal and that the only way to satisfy supporters is to start strong and maintain form.

Ipswich Town: the £10,000 team pushing for the Premier League | Ipswich Town | The Guardian

Next up is a crucial game against Hull, and this is the team we believe he might select…

Ruddy’s experience may come in handy early in Rooney’s tenure as the new manager tries to instill his fresh concepts and approaches in his players.

As the Blues look to take the game to Hull, Rooney will be hoping to see some strong running from Drameh up and down the flank.

This season, Rooney’s defense will probably be centered around Sanderson, so he’ll be anxious to keep a clean sheet in this match.

The Blues must prevail in the midfield battle, and Sunjic may be the last of three midfielders selected for this match.
