Saturday’s Michigan State vs. Minnesota game is going to tell us a lot about these Spartans. Will they shake off that embarrassing loss to Michigan in Week 8 or will they crumble on the road and just call it a year?

Katin Houser will be getting his third straight start, looking for his first win as QB1. This might be his best chance to secure a victory, although you could argue he deserved one against Rutgers.

Michigan State vs. Minnesota weather report (Updated Oct. 27)

Michigan State vs. Minnesota: How to watch, odds, injuries, prediction

The weather in East Lansing has been warm and sunny most of this week, but it’s going to be quite a shock to the system for these guys in Minneapolis. In fact, the temperature around kickoff is expected to be around 33-34 degrees with less than a six percent chance of precipitation. Winds will also be fairly low at around 7 mph. Cold day in Minneapolis.

Michigan State vs. Minnesota series history

Michigan State vs Minnesota football history: Records, H2H stats, and more

It feels like Michigan State and Minnesota don’t play often enough probably because the Spartans have a healthy lead in the series and they’ve won five of the last six against the Gophers. We’re all craving more of this matchup because it’s treated us well. Michigan State leads the series all time, 30-18, but the Spartans lost last year at home, 34-7.

Prediction for Michigan State vs. Minnesota

Michigan State is starving for a win while Minnesota barely escaped death at Iowa last weekend. The Gophers probably have their least impressive team in years and it’s not the same one that beat Michigan State 34-7 in East Lansing last year. I think this one is decided by a touchdown either way and I actually have talked myself into a Michigan State victory. The Spartans break that winless mark in Big Ten play.
