RYAN DAY RADIO SHOW: RYAN DAY SAYS “NOTHING IS GUARANTEED” AS OHIO STATE’S SEASON COMES TO AN END, EXPECTING A “LOUD” ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PRIMETIME KICKOFF VS. MICHIGAN STATE
While the Ohio State-Michigan State game is set for a primetime kickoff on Saturday, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day didn’t spend much time on Thursday dissecting the Spartans.
Day mostly answered questions about the Buckeyes on The Ryan Day Radio Show, assessing the overall performances of Kyle McCord, TreVeyon Henderson, Tyleik Williams, and others, aside from a few about Michigan State’s offence and defence.
Following Day’s remarks, defensive coordinator Jim Knowles joined the show to discuss Ohio State’s defence and what to expect from the Spartans’ offence on Saturday.
The Ryan Day Radio Show is summarised in bullet points below:
ON OHIO STATE’S WIN OVER THE RUTGERS, RYAN DAY
“Still a lot to learn from.”
“At halftime, we were in a dogfight.” Jordan Hancock’s pick-six changed the game.”
Day stated that Ohio State performed better in the second half than in the first. He stated that the Buckeyes’ offseason focus was “on finishing games.”
ON THE DEFENSIVE BACKS OF OHIO STATE’S FRESHMEN “Jermaine Mathews (Jr.) really stepped up.”
Day praised Malik Hartford’s performance for the Buckeyes on Saturday.
Day believes Mathews and Hartford are no longer freshmen because of their time at Ohio State and the work they’ve done.
