Urban Meyer believes the Michigan Wolverines are superior to the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer believes Michigan is the best team in the country.

According to the most recent College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday, the Ohio State Buckeyes are the top team in the country.

However, Urban Meyer believes they are not the best team in terms of eye test.

Meyer explained on a recent episode of Urban’s Take with Tim May that while the Buckeyes have the best resume in the country, the Michigan Wolverines have looked like the best team on the field.

“Ohio State has the best resume, two Top 10 wins,” Meyer said in a statement. “On film, the Wolverines are as good as anyone in the country.” They could be the best on video. However, you must consider who they are playing. They’re just really bad at beating teams. So I believe the winner of that game will be the country’s top team.”

Having said that, Meyer believes the road to the national championship still passes through Athens and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia, which is on a 26-game winning streak and has won the last two national championships, is ranked just behind the Buckeyes at No. 2.

“I believe Georgia is there.” “They’re the boss until you beat them,” Meyer explained. “Now it’s tough behind that. I see a Florida State squad and a Washington squad. Oregon, in my opinion, is comparable to the Wolverines on tape. They’re one of the best teams I’ve seen on videotape, both offensively and defensively.”

With Ohio State and Michigan set to play later this month, the Buckeyes will have a chance to prove Meyer wrong on the field.

Last season, the Wolverines defeated Ohio State on the field, winning 45-23 in Columbus.
