Ohio State Remains at No. 3 in the Coaches and AP Polls After Handling Penn State In Ohio Stadium | Eleven Warriors

Ryan Day’s Ohio State Buckeyes stay on an undefeated roll.

The Ohio State Buckeyes had yet another successful week.

After a 38-3 win over Michigan State Saturday, the Buckeyes stayed put at No. 3 in the Associated Press college football rankings.

Ohio State was one of only three Big Ten teams ranked in this week’s poll, behind the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines and nine spots ahead of the No. 12 Penn State Nittany Lions.

Both No. 1 Georgia and Michigan had top-10 wins this week, so the top three remained the same from the last few weeks.

The Buckeyes didn’t let up against the Spartans Saturday — they didn’t allow a single score after Michigan State’s first-quarter field goal.

Junior quarterback Kyle McCord and junior receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. both had great games, each recording three touchdowns.

“I can’t really quantify how impactful he is to this offense,” McCord said. ‘I think there are one-on-one situations he obviously wins. I think there are situations where he takes two defenders with him. If they want to double him, somebody else is open. I think he does a good job blocking, too.”

All three of Harrison’s touchdowns came in the first half, and the star wideout finished with seven receptions and 149 yards to top out a phenomenal outing.

On the defensive end, Ohio State held Michigan State to just 88 passing yards and 94 rushing yards on Saturday, effectively depleting the Spartan offense for the night.
