Orlando Pirates issue injury updates on key players such as keeper Sipho Chaine and defender Paseka Mako including striker Kermit Erasmus.
This comes after The South African reported that Chaine was set to be ruled out for months and could return to action in 2024.

Pirates released a statement through their media channels, saying Chaine continues to receive treatment after suffering a Grade 1 tear in the Carling Black Label Knockout clash against Cape Town Spurs.
PIRATES ISSUES INJURY UPDATE ON KEEPER CHAINE AND MAKO
The Buccaneers will return to DStv Premiership action this weekend as they could be without key players such as Chaine and Mako.
“Goalkeeper Sipho Chaine continues to receive treatment after suffering a Grade 1 tear in the Carling Black Label Knockout clash against Cape Town Spurs,” said Pirates in a statement
At the same time, Pirates announced that six players remain sidelined with injuries, while Mako will be out until around February/March next year.
Coach Jose Riveiro’s side will take on Richards Bay this weekend with a crippled squad as they search for maximum.
Just before the FIFA international break, the Buccaneers beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the Soweto Derby and return to action on Saturday, 25 November.
“The increase in the number of matches has clearly taken its toll on the squad, resulting in numerous injury setbacks this season,” the club stated, before going more into detail on several injured players.
