Antonio Pierce is still working out of his small office, where they give position coaches.
Raiders HC Antonio Pierce is not working out of the….
The Las Vegas Raiders interim head coach is one of the most humble guys you will ever meet. In fact, he may be too humble, if that’s even possible.
Usually, when your head coach gets fired, and the interim head coach gets picked, especially if it’s at the beginning or even the middle of the season, the interim head coach will move into the head coach’s office. They do that to have more space because, as a head coach, you just naturally need more space.
“I went in and sat with Antonio Pierce in his office. He’s still in his same coaching office, the assistant office,” Irvin said on FS1’s Undisputed. “I said, ‘Hey, big fella, why we’re not in the big room right now?’ He said, ‘I told them I’m not moving twice. If you move me over there, I’m staying over there. I’m not moving and moving back.'”
If that isn’t humble, I don’t know what is. Not only that, but he’s confident too. He is saying that he will stay over in the other office because he’s going to stay there, or in other words, he will be the head coach, not the interim head coach.
You have to love things like this from the guys; that shows you just how much of a stand-up guy Pierce really is.
