Celtic’s Anthony Ralston involved in car crash near club’s training ground
Celtic defender Anthony Ralston was involved in a car crash near the club’s Lennoxtown training facility on Tuesday but avoided any serious injuries.
The crash, which happened near the village of Milton of Campsie, closed the A891 at 2.45pm, a mile from the club’s training ground.
Ralston, who broke into the side last season against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, did not have to attend hospital and was said to have fortunately avoided injury.
East Dunbartonshire Council tweeted details of the accident, saying: ‘Police Scotland has closed the A891 from Scott Avenue, Milton of Campsie, through to the A803 Kilsyth Road between Kirkintilloch and Kilsyth due to a traffic collision. Traffic will be required to go to Milton of Campsie via Kirkintilloch.’
Ralston announced himself as a Celtic player when he went toe-to-toe with the world’s most expensive player in Neymar during PSG’s visit to Glasgow.
The defender got under the Brazilian’s skin during the clash and the pair famously clashed as fans across Europe quickly learnt about the Celtic man.
