REPORT: Several Aggies freshmen have been suspended ahead of their game against Ole Miss.
The Texas A&M Aggies had already had a difficult season in 2022.
However, on Monday, reports surfaced that at least three, and possibly four, members of the Aggies’ historic 2022 recruiting class had been suspended indefinitely by coach Jimbo Fisher.
LJ Johnson, a freshman running back, also skipped practise on Monday and appears to be considering a transfer.
This is the second time this season that multiple freshmen have been suspended ahead of a ranked matchup in College Station, following Marshall, Harris, defensive back Smoke Bouie, and wide receiver Evan Stewart’s absence from the Miami Hurricanes game in September due to a violation of team rules.
The Aggies eventually defeated the Hurricanes 17-9. They will face the No. 15 Ole Miss Rebels this time.
to AllAggies.com, the suspended players are cornerback Denver Harris, wideout Chris Marshall, and offensive lineman PJ Williams.
The news could not have come at a worse time for the Aggies, who are currently 3-4 overall and have lost three straight SEC games.
Jimbo Fisher also announced that three offensive linemen, Bryce Foster (knee), Aki Ogunbiyi (knee), and Jordan-Spasojevic-Moko (ankle), will miss the rest of the season.
The Aggies kick off against Ole Miss at Kyle Field on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
