Dylan Brown has been hit with a further $20,000 fine by Parramatta, with the suspended playmaker accepting sanctions from both the NRL and his own club.
The 23-year-old is currently sidelined after being found guilty on two counts of sexual touching without consent, with Brown expected to return for the Eels in their Round 23 clash.
After the conclusion of his court case, the NRL whacked the Kiwi star with a seven-game ban, as well as a $40,000 fine – $20,000 of which was suspended pending good behaviour.
But in a strong move by Parramatta, the club have handed down further sanctions to Brown including a further fine, as well as accepting the breach notice handed down by the league.
Dylan Brown fined $20,000 by Parramatta Eels
In a club statement on Tuesday morning, it was revealed Brown would have to pay an extra $20,000 to the Eels, which will be donated to charity.
In addition to the fine and suspension, Brown will undergo the following steps after his off-field indiscretion:
- Undertaking a comprehensive alcohol management plan designed by appropriate experts
- Presentation of learnings to the club’s Elite Pathways players
- Immediate and ongoing professional counselling and support
- Re-engagement initiatives with club stakeholders
Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos said the five-eighth has accepted full responsibility for his actions.
“Dylan has displayed genuine remorse for his actions towards the victim, and the impact on his family, his network, the club and the game,” he said.
“He has a strong awareness of the severity of what has occurred and is extremely disappointed in his actions.”

that we provide the support to help Dylan become a better person moving forward.”
When will Dylan Brown return for Eels?
At this stage, Brown looks set to return to the NRL in Round 23 for Parramatta’s match with the Dragons.
