Adam Schefter addresses Jim Harbaugh NFL rumors

“he’s entertained these possibilities”

It seems like every year, Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh is linked to NFL job openings around this time of year, and that’s the case once again. But NFL insider Adam Schefter thinks it could be different this time, especially if he is able to lead the Michigan Wolverines to a national title.

During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, league insider Adam Schefter of ESPN said that he believes Jim Harbaugh would “entertain” NFL job offers, but that a national title could “give him even more liberty” to make that move.

“To me, he’s always wanted to bring a national championship to Michigan, and I think if he brings a national championship to Michigan, I would think there’ll be a part of him that feels like he set out to do what he intended all along,” Schefter said Monday on the Pat McAfee Show according to On3. “And I think that that would give him even more liberty to take the jump to the NFL.

“Now, again, he’s assessed this in each of the last two years. Two years ago, Minnesota came after him. Last year, Denver came after him. And so he’s entertained these possibilities.”

Michigan is currently the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff. We’ll have to see whether or not he can lead his team to a national title, and then what happens after that.
