4 Buccaneers on the hot seat even after a win in Week 14
The win might feel good right now, but there is no reason to feel safe.
4. Todd Bowles, Head Coach
This is a seat that has yet to cool off, despite any win put forth by the Bucs in the last few weeks. Todd Bowles’ decision-making and in-game adjustments (or lack thereof) have preceded him. Bucs fans are still tired of Bowles and can think of several options they’d like to see in his place.
But, if Bowles and the Bucs somehow manage to take home the division crown and sneak their way into the postseason, Bowles may have another year in front of him in Tampa Bay. The fact of the matter is, before this mini two-game win streak, the Bucs had lost six of seven games and were reeling.
Bowles’ inability to get his defense turned around, this year, is inexcusable. Yes, the Bucs have their fair share of problems and some injuries on defense. But, this unit should not be the sixth-worst defense in football (yards per game).
Offensively, it is still mind-boggling that this team isn’t featuring Mike Evans and Chris Godwin even more than they are. Bowles may not be an offensive guy, but he certainly has the right to speak to Dave Canales about some hesitations he might have.
Bowles should feel anything but safe down the stretch.

Buccaneers Make Series Of Roster Moves Ahead Of Road Game In Green Bay
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have won two straight games and are back in control of their own destiny ahead of the final stretch of the regular season. The team is doing some housekeeping to shore up its 53-man roster and practice squad prior to traveling to Green Bay.
On Tuesday, the Buccaneers signed long snapper Evan Deckers to the practice squad. In the process, the team released linebacker Vi Jones in order to make room for Deckers on the roster. His addition comes in the aftermath of the revelation that starting long snapper Zach Triner is dealing with an elbow injury.
