ATHENS, Ga. —
Next year’s Georgia football schedule was released on the 2024 Southeastern Conference Football Schedule Reveal show on ESPN and the SEC Network this week.

Georgia’s schedule is highlighted by the first trip to Austin since 1958 as Bulldogs will face Texas on Oct. 19. This will mark the first season for both Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC as the league expands to 16 teams.

In addition to its SEC opener against Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., on Sept. 14, Georgia returns to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to face Alabama on Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Next season the SEC will eliminate divisional standings so the SEC Championship Game will feature the two top teams in the conference standings at the end of the regular season.

Running back Todd Gurley’s career in photos

Former Georgia Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley made his college football debut against Buffalo in Sanford Stadium. Gurley made an immediate impact for the Bulldogs. He scored three touchdowns and finished with over 200 total scrimmage yards in his first game as a true freshman.

Todd Gurley played at Georgia from 2012-2014. He memorably helped Georgia make the 2012 SEC championship, where the Bulldogs came painfully close to beating Alabama.

Gurley is the No. 4 leading rusher in Georgia football history with 3,285 rushing yards and 42 total touchdwons. He has the highest average yards per carry (6.8) of any of Georgia’s top five all-time leading rushers.

Todd Gurley went on to be a first round pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Gurley was dominant throughout his six season NFL career, where he scored 79 total touchdowns. Gurley was twice named an All-Pro with the Los Angeles Rams.
