I must leave: Michigan key player announced his departure aganist…

Michigan Loses Key Player In Shocking Transfer

In the midst of Michigan football having its best season of all time, transferring is still on the minds of some.

In a surprising move, senior tight end Erick All has entered the transfer portal. The 6-5, 255-pounder announced via Twitter that he’d be leaving U-M and had some not so glowing remarks to go along with the news.

“Wolverine nation, love you guys but it’s time for me to move on,” he tweeted. “I know some of you are wondering why I would leave and the answer to that question is unexpected. Not everything/everyone are what they seem and I learned that from my time here at Michigan. Sometimes you have to let go and do what’s best for you and your family. Love you guys. Go Blue.”

Obviously that seems to indicate that All isn’t seeing eye to eye with someone or several people. It’s no secret that he’s extremely close with former starting quarterback Cade McNamara, who recently announced his transfer to Iowa. Could All follow his buddy and quarterback to Iowa City? It seems plausible. Hopefully he’ll do well wherever he ends up, but his exiting remarks aren’t going to leave a good taste in anyone’s mouth around U-M.

Coach Jim Harbaugh plans to return to Michigan for a ninth season, school president Santa Ono announced Monday. Here’s what you need to know:

Harbaugh’s future was in question after he interviewed with the Denver Broncos last week. He interviewed with the Minnesota Vikings last year before returning to Michigan with a new five-year contract that pays him an average of $7.3 million annually. His return is expected to come with another contract extension and salary bump, per program sources.
His future at Michigan was further clouded by an NCAA investigation that resulted in four Level II infractions and a Level I infraction levied against Harbaugh for allegedly providing false or misleading information to investigators.
The Wolverines are 25-3 the past two years with two Big Ten championships and two appearances in the College Football Playoff. They went 13-1 this past season and lost to TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.
What Ono and Harbaugh said
“I just got off the phone with Coach Harbaugh and Jim shared with me the great news that he is going to remain as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines. That is fantastic news that I have communicated to our Athletic Director Warde Manuel,” Ono wrote on social media.
