Is Oregon QB Bo Nix the ‘perfect prospect’ for Denver Broncos?

The Denver Broncos should take a quarterback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. One expert thinks a 2023 Heisman finalist could solve their woes.

Pro Football Focus’ Trevor Sikemma deemed Oregon’s Bo Nix an ideal fit for the Broncos in a piece that named a perfect prospect for each NFL team.

Tankathon projects Denver will have the 14th overall pick. Top prospects, such as North Carolina’s Drake Maye and Southern Cal’s Caleb Williams, will probably be off the board. Selecting an experienced passer like Nix, 23, makes sense.

In 14 games, he completed 77.4 percent of his passes for 4,508 yards, 45 TDs, three interceptions and a 91.8 QBR, second in the FBS. However, some scouts wonder if his game will translate to the next level and think he’s a boom-or-bust prospect.

Regardless, Denver might have to take a flier on a prospect like Nix. The Broncos will reportedly release QB Russell Wilson in March, and backup Jarrett Stidham is inexperienced. He’s only made three starts in five seasons.
