How Many Wins Do Miami Hurricanes Fans Expect After Adding Cam Ward To The Roster? | Poll

All Hurricanes (@AllHurricanes) / X

The Hurricanes have addressed the most important position in the Championship and expectations are on the rise.

The Miami Hurricanes had inconsistent quarterback play in 2023. There were also coaching errors (take the knee!) and questionable depth at certain positions. The team went 7-6.

Things are trending up for 2024.

Miami has landed a top seven recruiting class in consecutive years and they’ve added top transfer quarterback Cam Ward.Ward threw for over 3,700 yards at Washington State last season with 25 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions

Now that the Hurricanes have welcomed in a blue-chipper at the most important position and raised their depth level at other spots, I asked Miami fans on X where they set their expectations for the 2024 season.

There were four options offered in the vote:

The leader by far at the time of this publication is 10 wins+ at 57% of the vote. This is very much in line with my personal expectation. Before Ward, I would have been in the 8 win range with 9 as the ceiling.

At least 8-4 comes in a distance second at 17%, followed by ACC Championship at 14% and College Football Playoff at 12%.

The poll remains open for voting until 9:00am on Wednesday, January 17th.

X user Smitty LaRock had a sensible response. Everyone should be in “wait and see mode” but it’s always fun to speculate. This is what offseasons are for…
