Kirk Cousins adores Taylor Swift. I hope she stays in the game for a long time.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is expressing support for “Team Swelce,” acknowledging the frequent coverage of pop star Taylor Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games.
Swift has been attending Chiefs games since September 2023 to support her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce. Their relationship became public in July of the same year.
The NFL often showcases Swift on the Jumbotron due to her celebrity status, and fans, humorously referred to as “dads, Brads, and Chads” by Swift, have expressed mixed reactions to her presence, sometimes attributing Chiefs’ game outcomes to her attendance.
“I keep seeing clips of her high-fiving people, so I think it’s been a positive. It’s certainly been a positive for the league,” Cousins told Us Weekly.
“I think there [have] been a lot of new football fans that five months ago probably weren’t following pro football, but now they are. I think that’s a win for everybody involved and hopefully, she’s around the game for a long time.”
