Unlikely: Three talended player agree to sign contract.

3 players from every losing team that would improve the Utah Jazz

Brooklyn Nets v Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz are a team on the rise. They’re over .500 once again on the season and heading to the NBA Trade Deadline with some serious needs. They’re a team that needs some help from three, more perimeter defense, another guard, and a center. Now, if you can get the first three items in one player, all the better. Yet, there aren’t a lot of those options this season.

That said, it’s not like they need these pieces just to make the playoffs, as they’re just three games out of the sixth seed, but these pieces could help the Jazz make noise in the playoffs. And with the recent trade of Terry Rozier by the Charlotte Hornets, it’s not like the asking price will be high for a lot of these guys. So it really doesn’t hurt the Jazz to look into some moves.

The Jazz would be wise to think about making a move or two, regardless of the current situation. The team has been exploited too often on defense for anyone to be fine with sitting on their hands. A move to shore that up wouldn’t just be done for this season but for the future as well. Now, if you can add a defensive-minded perimeter player and a three-point shooter, then you may not need to worry too much about future draft picks panning out.

As for the center spot, we know Walker Kessler is the man, but the Jazz clearly need some help in the paint when Kessler is off the court. So we’re going to be looking for a compliment to him as well.
