Report: 76ers sign former Raptors guard Danny Green to one-year deal

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a one-year deal with shooting guard/small forward Danny Green, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Green, 36, played just 11 regular-season games in total over the 2022-23 season — three with the Memphis Grizzlies and eight with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After suffering a torn ACL in May of 2022, Green started the following season late with the Grizzlies, was traded to the Houston Rockets on deadline day and then subsequently picked up by the Cavaliers off waivers.

A three-time NBA Championship winner with the San Antonia Spurs, Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers, Green is returning to Philadelphia for a second stint after previously spending two seasons with the 76ers in 2020-21 and 2021-22.

As Green reunites with former teammates, he is also set to reunite with former Raptors coach Nick Nurse who is set for his first season behind the 76ers’ bench.

Over 830 career games, Green has averaged 8.7 points, 1.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
