Miami makes an impression with top prospect
The Miami coaching staff has been hot on the trail recruiting from one coast to another and this weekend recruits from all over were on Miami’s campus for a junior day visit.
Buford (Ga.) High School tight end Hayden Bradley finished his visit to Miami yesterday. Bradley’s offer sheet is impressive with an offer from Ole Miss coming earlier today, but he also holds offers from the in-state program Georgia Tech, as well as Penn State, Michigan, Florida, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and of course Miami, among others.
The 6-foot-5-220-pound tight end left Miami with a clear understanding of what the Hurricanes were all about. Bradley spoke with AllHurricanes about his visit, his recruitment, and when he may make his college decision.
“My visit to Miami was awesome. The scenery was awesome and the relationships I built with the coaching staff were huge!”
The standout explained who he was around during his visit.
“Mostly hung out with coach (Cody) Woodiel, coach (Alex) Mirabal, coach (Nate) Crutchfield, but also everyone else on the offensive side of the ball including head coach (Mario) Cristobal. They love the way I can play and how I prove that on my film and see a future for me at the University of Miami.”
During his time with the coaching staff, a recruiting pitch he heard being said to him stood out during his visit.
“This absolutely stood out to me. One being how much they are on the athletes for education and the past history of tight ends to the NFL,” said Bradley.
I asked him if more visits to Miami would be in the works in the future.
“Absolutely plan on taking couple of more visits to Miami actually.”
Bradley even has an idea of when these visits happen and if Miami will get one of his five official visits.
“I am coming back in the spring and for an official visit.”
With that being said about Miami, the Hurricanes will have some stiff competition for the Georgia native.
“I plan on visiting Texas A&M, South Carolina, Florida, Colorado, Utah, Penn State, Maryland, and some other schools.”
He tells me at this time he doesn’t have any favorites in his recruitment as it’s starting to take off for him and is wide open. However, he does have an idea of when he would like to make his college decision and it come in the next several months.
“I am looking at committing before my senior season.”
Miami coaching staff couldn’t have done a better job this weekend on Bradley’s visit. Next, getting him on campus more and fending off the rest of the competition for Bradley.
