Bengals Promote Fredi Knighten to Assistant Quarterbacks Coach

CINCINNATI — The Bengals promoted former quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher to offensive coordinator last month. They also promoted assistant quarterbacks coach Brad Kragthorpe to quarterbacks coach.

It looks like Fredi Knighten has been promoted to Kragthorpe’s old role.

Knighten is listed as the Bengals’ assistant quarterbacks coach on the team site. He’s been on the staff for the past two seasons as an offensive assistant. Knighten played quarterback from 2012-15 at Arkansas State, ranking fourth in program history with 6,986 total yards.

The team is also hiring Jordan Salkin to help on offense. It looks like the Bengals’ offensive coaching staff has been finalized for the 2024 season.
