Buffalo Bills Players Who Could Be Released in 2024 to Save Money
Here are six players on the Buffalo Bills, who could be released to save money against the salary cap.
Tre’Davious White
There’s been speculation already that Tre White could bee a cap casualty. It makes too much financial sense. He carries a $16+ million cap hit, with a $10 million dead cap number. They would save over $6 million. He’s coming off two major leg injuries in less than three seasons.
Deonte Harty
Harty was signed on the first day of free agency last March by the Bills, but was used sparingly as a wide receiver, with usage as the team’s punt returner. The Bills save $4.2 million against the cap by releasing him.
Siran Neal
Neal has one year left on his contract, but the Bills would save nearly $3 million b y releasing the special teams ace.
Jordan Poyer
Poyer was signed to a two-year contract in 2023, after we all assumed he would leave via free agency. With Micah Hyde likely retiring (and a free agent anyway), Poyer’s veteran presence would help but the Bills would save $5.4 million by releasing him.
Nyheim Hines
Hines missed all of 2023 with a torn ACL, which was suffered in a jet ski accident. However, the backup running back and kick returner was helpful towards the end of the 2022 season. However, with the Bills pressed for cap space, they can save $5 million by releasing him.
Reggie Gilliam
Gilliam has one year remaining on his contract, but with most of his usefulness on special teams, the Bills might opt for saving $2 million.
