At the center of his career resurgence has been the camaraderie he has built with Detroit’s coaching staff.

Dan Campbell initially caught backlash for his proclamation that his team would bite kneecaps at his introductory press conference, but he has proven to be an excellent leader and exactly what the team needs.

His ability to motivate has helped carry the team from the depths of the division to near the top of the NFL.

“I think that he speaks from the heart so often, and sometimes just random things come out,” Goff explained. “It’s just who he is. And, in that press conference, that was what it was about. But, no, we don’t have anything about kneecaps on the walls in the building.”
