Green Bay Packers Tight End Luke Musgrave Engaged to Madi Weisner
NFL rookie Luke Musgrave is engaged!
The Green Bay Packers tight end, 23, popped the question to girlfriend Madi Weisner during a vacation in Hawaii. The couple shared the happy news in a joint Instagram post on Thursday featuring photos from the oceanside proposal.
“Hawaii recap 🌺🏝️,” they wrote, alongside snaps of the pair embracing after Weisner said “yes” and then splashing around in the water together to celebrate the moment.
Several of Musgraves’ teammates congratulated the couple in the comments, including running back Patrick Taylor, who wrote, “Congrats bro!🤟🏾.” Safety Jonathan Owens cheered, “Congrats brother 🙏🏽.”
Weisner — who recently launched a podcast, Unrelatable with Madi Weisner — left two comments of her own on the post for her new fiancé. “4th pic is how excited I am to marry you,” she wrote, adding, “Life with you is my favorite.”
In a follow-up post on Thursday, she shared more engagement photos, including two capturing her shocked reaction to Musgrave asking her to marry him.
“I will never get over this,” she captioned the post, to which Musgrave playfully replied in the comments, “Never ever??”
Weisner also offered a glimpse of her engagement ring in a photo posted on Saturday, showing her holding a hand over her eyes while taking a selfie.
During the Feb. 16 episode of her podcast, Weisner shared the story of Musgrave’s proposal — and how she had a strong suspicion it was coming.
She recounted how the athlete unthinkingly opened up his suitcase in the middle of the airport before they arrived in Hawaii. “The ring box is just sitting right there,” she explained. “And he goes, ‘Oh s—, don’t look at that!’ ”
She said the proposal unfolded on the second day of their trip during a scenic stroll. “We walk up on this outlook of the beach and then he gets down on one knee. I’m shocked, genuinely shocked because I did not think he was going to do it,” she recalled.
“He said some nice things, was super sweet, asked me to marry him, said please. Of course, I say yes,” Weisner continued.
Musgrave had hired a photographer to capture the moment, and Weisner had the idea for them to get into the water for a few pictures. “Let’s go swimming, let’s get in the ocean,” she remembered suggesting, noting that she is thrilled with the results of the shoot. “I am absolutely obsessed with all the photos we took. Rainbows were out, it was so pretty and just perfect.
“The ring is perfect, Luke’s perfect, Hawaii was perfect,” she added.
Musgrave, who played college football for Oregon State University, was a second-round draft pick in 2023. In his rookie regular season with the Packers, he caught 34 passes for 352 yards. He caught a 38-yard touchdown pass in his first playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys on Jan. 14, helping the team clinch a 48-32 victory.
During the Packers’ Nov. 19 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, Musgrave suffered a lacerated kidney and was placed on injured reserve until Jan. 6, when he was reactivated.
