Peter Holland is attempting to make a comeback to the NHL.

The 32-year-old has reportedly signed a PTO with the Colorado Avalanche after being out of the NHL for over five years.

Holland didn’t play professional hockey last season and only played 15 games the year prior in Sweden.

After leaving the NHL, the 32-year-old spent two seasons in the KHL with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg. Holland scored 79 points in 119 games.

The Toronto, Ontario native played the most NHL games with the Maple Leafs, from 2013 to 2016. Holland scored 63 points (25 goals, 38 assists) in 174 games with the organization.

Earlier this summer, TSN’s Darren Dreger reported that the 32-year-old was attempting a comeback to the NHL, training with Gary Roberts and hoping to see a PTO come from it.

Holland, throughout his NHL career, played for four teams, including the Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Anaheim Ducks, and Arizona Coyotes. He scored 85 points (36 goals, 49 assists) in 266 games.

The 32-year-old was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round (15th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
