Done Deal: LA Chargers Head Coach Secure New Strong Player As New WR.

Keenan Allen to Be Replaced by Explosive WR in Chargers’ New Mock Draft

In the April draft, the Los Angeles Chargers have a lot of choices for their fifth overall selection. They could either trade the pick or select a player in the draft who has the ability to drastically alter the course of their team.

According to CBS Sports’ most recent mock draft, they will maintain the choice even though many analysts and commentators think they will trade back. The Bolts will pick Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., the 2023 winner of the Biletnikoff Award, under the direction of two-time Super Bowl champion Bryant McFadden.

Chargers Land Explosive WR to Replace Keenan Allen in New Mock Draft

“Jim Harbaugh stated that selecting with the fifth overall pick in this mock draft is akin to selecting first for a club without a quarterback, and that is exactly how it works out. The Chargers acquire one of the top wide receiver prospects in recent memory in Marvin Harrison Jr. after offloading Mike Williams and Keenan Allen this offseason.”

Harrison Jr. hauled in 67 receptions for 1211 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 18.1 yards per reception during his junior year at Columbus. He may be the best wide receiver prospect in a very long time and the top player in this class. There isn’t a reliable number-one pass receiver on the Chargers’ roster right now. Harrison Jr.’s draft selection would drastically alter that.

He is incredibly athletic, capable of breaking one or two tackles, and naturally gifted at coming down with spectacular catches. He also has really soft hands.

Harrison Jr. stands at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, and would immediately become Justin Herbert’s favorite target. It would be very uncharacteristic of Jim Harbaugh and general manager Joe Hortiz to choose a wide receiver, but desperate times may call for desperate measures.
