Huge setback: Browns head coach in great fear as strong key player departs.

Plans for the Browns’ Offseason Programs Are Out

The NFL offseason gets underway in earnest as April approaches on the calendar.

The Browns announced their offseason program plans late last week. The program consists of three distinct phases and a nine-week timeline. April 15 is the official start date for the team’s optional practices in Berea as they prepare for a season without a head coach. On April 16, Day Two of the show, fans can anticipate hearing from Kevin Stefanski and a few players for the first time this spring.

The main event will take center stage from April 25–27, but first general manager Andrew Berry will hold his yearly pre-draft press conference with the media on April 18.

Browns Offseason Program Plans Revealed

Rookie minicamp, which takes place from May 10–12, is when Cleveland’s rookies will experience their first taste of life in the NFL after the draft. Following those drills come Cleveland’s OTAs, which take place over the course of three weeks and consist of three separate, three-day sessions. These are scheduled for May 21–23, May 28–30, and June 3–6. OTAs are entirely optional, just like the offseason program’s initial phase.

Throughout those sessions, fans will hear from Stefanski and certain players again on designated days. During this phase of the program, star quarterback Deshaun Watson will probably be the center of attention as he returns to throwing the football after surgery on his shoulder.

The week after organized team activities end, the Browns will hold veteran minicamp, which will be their first obligatory practice. That is scheduled for June 11–13 and marks the last day of the team’s offseason program before the summer break. The regular season will then be approaching, with training camp starting at a TBD date in late July.
