Koby Brea includes Kentucky in new list
The Kentucky Wildcats are still in the hunt for one of the best shooters in college basketball
When Dayton wing Koby Brea first entered the transfer portal, just about every school contacted him, including Kentucky.
Per Jon Rothstein, Brea has now narrowed his list to five schools, which includes the Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, North Carolina Tar Heels, Duke Blue Devils, and UConn Huskies.
A 6-foot-6, 205-pound wing from New York, Brea was a class of 2020 recruit who has spent the past four years with the Flyers. This past season, Brea earned A-10 Sixth Man of the Year honors after averaging 11.1 points on 51% shooting from the field and 49.8% from 3-point range on six attempts per game. He also added 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest.
In Dayton’s two NCAA Tournament games this season, Brea averaged 14.5 points on 10/18 shooting (9/16 on 3s). He’s as good as it gets when it comes to shooting, and it’s no secret Mark Pope loves having shooters. 50.4% of BYU’s field-goal attempts this past season were from 3-point land, the fourth-highest rate in the country, according to KenPom.
