Jude Bellingham handed Kylian Mbappe warning as staggering Real Madrid transfer claim made

Jude Bellingham has been warned that Kylian Mbappe’s arrival this summer will spell the end of his prolific goalscoring form at Real Madrid.

Bellingham has enjoyed a stunning debut campaign with Real, contributing 23 goals and 12 assists in 40 appearances since arriving in an £88million from Borussia Dortmund last summer. The 20-year-old midfielder settled immediately with Los Blancos and was a key part of their La Liga title win and has also helped Carlo Ancelotti’s side reach the Champions League final.

He has quickly become a fan-favourite in the Spanish capital, but may have to take more of a back seat in the summer, with Mbappe set to make his long-awaited move after announcing his exit from Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe has been courted by Real president Florentino Perez for years and will become a modern-day Galactico upon his arrival.

Mbappe’s move could be problematic for Bellingham and fellow star Vinicius Junior, according to William Gallas, who has made some big predictions. “Vinicius Jr has been brilliant for Real Madrid, and if he wins the Champions League, I think he will win the Ballon d’Or,” Gallas told Genting Casino.

“I don’t know what is going to happen when Kylian Mbappe comes to Real Madrid, because playing down the middle is not his position. I would not be surprised to see a front three of Vinicius Jr, Mbappe and Rodrygo, with Mbappe down the middle, then the next season they sell Vinicius Jr.

“I don’t think Mbappe playing down the middle will restrict Jude Bellingham. When he was at Dortmund, Bellingham did not play as high up the pitch as he does for Real Madrid, and he was still a great player. Bellingham will play behind Mbappe next season, he will properly be a part of a three-man midfield. I don’t expect Bellingham to score anywhere near the amount of goals he’s scored this season.‌

“He started well, but we’ve seen his goalscoring levels decrease in the last month or two. Bellingham is a midfielder, and he won’t have the system from this season to get the same amount of goals next year, and his Spanish opponents know what to expect from him now.”

Mbappe is yet to confirm his move to Real, but reportedly agreed a deal with the club in February. Announcing his exit from PSG, he said: “I know I’m not the most demonstrative player, I haven’t always lived up to the love you all gave me for seven years but I never wanted to cheat. I have always wanted to be effective. PSG is a club that never leaves anyone indifferent. We can love it or hate it.

“I made the choice of loving it and I did for seven years, with ups and downs of course, but I do not regret any moment since signing with this prestigious club. It’s a club that I will keep in my memory my entire life.”
