# Gamecocks Dismiss Two Key Players After Altercation

The University of South Carolina Gamecocks football program announced today that they have dismissed two key players, five-star wide receiver, Antwane Wells Jr., and four-star linebacker, Mohamed Kaba, following an altercation between the two players.

According to sources, the incident occurred during a team practice session earlier today, when Wells Jr. and Kaba got into a heated argument that eventually escalated into a physical confrontation.

“We take incidents like this very seriously, and we will not tolerate behavior that is detrimental to the team and the university,” said Gamecocks head coach, Shane Beamer. “After careful consideration, we have decided to dismiss Antwane Wells Jr. and Mohamed Kaba from the team, effective immediately.”

Wells Jr., a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia, was one of the Gamecocks’ top receivers, with 34 catches for 542 yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Kaba, a junior from Clinton, Maryland, was a key contributor to the Gamecocks’ defense, with 23 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 interception.

The loss of Wells Jr. and Kaba is a significant blow to the Gamecocks’ depth chart, and it remains to be seen how the team will respond to their dismissal. However, Coach Beamer made it clear that the team’s values and standards must be upheld.
