That’s according to The Athletic who shared a report detailing what Mavropanos could bring to the team.

While Kurt Zouma’s place in the XI is secure in the long term, the same cannot be said for Nayef Aguerd at the moment.

Despite some exceptional performances since his arrival and interest from Manchester City, Aguerd’s game is currently riddled with flaws.

The Moroccan player made West Ham pay a heavy price despite a good start to the season.

And it looks like Mavropanos now has every chance to win his place. The “fearless” Greek international has received much praise from his years in Germany and with his national team.

And the £17m defender will now look to build on his debut for the club in the Europa League last week.

Of course, Mavropanos has many appealing aspects to his game, which bodes well for West Ham’s start.

The centre-back poses a real threat – a useful asset when playing alongside James Ward-Prowse.

Mavropanos is expected to start for West Ham tonight

Zouma and Aguerd have scored with their heads thanks to Ward-Prowse’s assist this season. And it certainly doesn’t look like Mavropanos is downgraded there.

This is a very positive matter for Moyes and he appears to have delivered on that this summer.

West Ham had Manchester United’s bid for Harry Maguire rejected and it is clear that Moyes sees a weakness in him.

Of course, besides Mavropanos, West Ham also has Thilo Kehrer and Angelo Ogbonna, players who can start at the highest level.

This is a very beneficial situation for Moyes and is further evidence of how well the team has spent Declan Rice’s money.  FINDOUT MORE………..

West Ham United target Mykola Matviyenko transfer for January window with Crystal Palace and Burnley among rivals

According to TEAMtalk, West Ham are “considering a deal” with Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matviyenko in the January transfer window.

The newspaper reported on its website on September 26 that the 27-year-old Ukraine international was on the Hammers’ radar during the winter, and that his side were also considering a possible move to England.

Plenty of interest is being reported from the Premier League, with Sheffield United, Everton, Burnley and Crystal Palace also chasing Matviyenko from the Ukrainian champions.

The defender, who can play centrally or on the left, signed a new contract after interest from Brighton and Brentford collapsed in January last season, but a move to the top-flight seems unlikely. was done again.

During the summer, David Moyes added Konstantinos Mavropanos to his list of central options, but multiple links at left-back failed to materialize. Since Aaron Cresswell is expected to leave sooner or later, serious competition with Emerson will be necessary, and with his vast experience in Europe in the Europa League and Champions League, a move for Matviyenko could make pleased Irons.

With 59 caps for the national team, he is the type of person with high character that Moyes appreciates, although not playing football in England could disadvantage him in the eyes of the Scottish coach.

With a new contract signed earlier this year to protect his value, this is unlikely to be a cheap move and there appears to be plenty of competition.
