The Detroit Lions have been struggling lately with injuries, and it seems like they can’t go a week without sending a key player to injured reserve. Despite this, the team has persevered and is now 12-2.
The organization recently made a roster transfer about one member who was recently arrested, so injuries aren’t the only issue ailing the roster.
The Lions waived safety Brandon Joseph following his late-night arrest on Friday, as part of a flurry of roster changes they revealed on X on Saturday.
Six hours after being taken into custody at 1:47 a.m. on Saturday in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, the 23-year-old safety was set free.17dff4b0-3089-11ee-979f-a3676ef972dd

After being stopped for exceeding the speed limit and exhibiting signs of intoxication, the police said that Joseph was extremely cooperative with the procedures.
As an undrafted free agent in 2023, Joseph joined the team and played in 14 games this season, recording 13 total tackles and one pass deflection.
As a rookie, Joseph went on and off the practice squad, but in his second season after leaving Notre Dame, he was starting to establish himself.
His chances of playing a bigger part were in his lap given the recent injuries this defense has suffered.
This decision might be a little easier to accept if the team receives some safety assistance again.

High security When the Lions play the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Ifeatu Melifonwu, who was also activated from injured reserve on Saturday, may make his comeback.
All things considered, Joseph and the Lions are in a bad situation.
